Tesco Store Manager Location: Southampton, England, United Kingdom.Shift Pattern: Varies from day to day but are planned in advance. Responsibilities Recruit and train the best people for your team, ensuring they deliver above and beyond by developing operational and leadership skills. Coach your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the products, building the store’s brand and providing customers with the right range, quality and service. Lead your team in driving trade activity, grow sales and maximise profit. Lead and build managers’ knowledge to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan and resource‑planned activities, ensuring hours are worked where most benefit customers, and identify and resolve root‑cause issues with sustainable solutions and continual reviews. Ensure the safety of colleagues, coaching the team to use all security tools to provide a safer place to work. Qualifications Great communicator sharing knowledge, experience and best practices; collaborates with the team to deliver results. Natural and welcoming with customers, putting them at the heart of whatever you do; listens and builds strong relationships with colleagues and customers. Uses energy and resilience to keep momentum going in challenging environments; owns decision‑making for the store and acts quickly based on what is right for customers and colleagues. Has energy and drive to deliver beyond expectation, inspires confidence in those around them. Is aware of competitors’ actions and constantly looks for ways to build and deliver new initiatives to improve the store for customers.
