What you’ll be doing: Acting as a key part of our second line of defence, you’ll assess and decision Real Estate Finance lending transactions across both Development and Investment sectors. Providing expert guidance on new lending requests, restructuring proposals, and supporting Relationship Directors through the credit approval process. Championing responsible growth by maintaining high credit standards and ensuring provisions remain within acceptable levels. Supporting senior leadership in evolving our risk structures and governance frameworks to enable joined-up, efficient working practices. Contributing to the development of new products, acquisitions, and ventures—ensuring compliance and risk alignment from the outset. Assisting the Head of Risk and Head of REF Risk with strategic projects and initiatives. Ensuring accurate and timely management information is delivered to ExCo. Staying ahead of regulatory changes and helping the business adapt effectively. Supporting clean internal and external audit outcomes through diligent process adherence. What we’re looking for: Proven experience in Real Estate Finance credit risk, ideally across both development and investment lending. Strong understanding of credit principles, governance, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
