This will be a varied and high profile role which will take ownership for structuring financial reporting and systems to offer maximum efficiency and clarity of information. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to future business activities from a finance perspective. Client Our client is a growing and acquisitive business within the Fintech sector. Responsibilities Production of monthly/annual financial accounts in a timely manner ERP system implementation – provide key financial support Statutory accounts, preparation of the year‑end audit file and management of external audit relationship Streamlining accounting functions and reviewing, assessing and applying necessary changes to internal financial controls to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained. VAT returns, tax packs and compliance Process and operational efficiencies – drive improvements to working practices and procedures Business partnering – support stakeholders with analysis of financial data and commentary Operate within regulatory and compliance framework and take personal responsibility of individual conduct rules relevant to the role Ensure internal controls are robust and help manage risks, including development of policies and procedures Candidate Requirements Qualified Accountant with several years of experience in a leadership position Strong up‑to‑date technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS) Good working knowledge of accounting systems and ability to interrogate and extract data Strong ability to implement and monitor internal controls Previous experience in presenting data, delivering information and explaining variance analysis Good communication and interpersonal skills Flexible approach and ability to adapt as the business grows and expands Self‑starter, capable of minimal supervision while communicating clearly with senior management Job Offer Competitive salary of £90,000 to £100,000 Permanent position in a stable professional services organisation Opportunities for career progression and professional development Collaborative and supportive work environment in South Yorkshire Additional Information Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Finance and Sales Industry: Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
