Job Description We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join AFRY's Energy Division within the expanding Renewable Energy team in the UK and Ireland. In this role, you'll lead the delivery of renewable energy projects - supporting clients from development through to construction, with a focus on Great Britain, Ireland, and Northern Ireland. Key responsibilities: Manage multi-contract and EPC projects through pre-construction and construction phases Support clients and funders to reach Financial Close Lead tendering and contract negotiations for major equipment and Balance of Plant packages Prepare project delivery plans, budgets, and programmes Administer construction contracts and manage variations and claims Ensure safety standards and statutory roles are met Contribute to business development and mentor junior engineers Qualifications We expect you to have the following skills (but we don't expect anyone to tick every box): A degree in an Engineering, Project Management or Renewables focused subject Be a Chartered Engineer (or working towards / close to Chartered or Incorporated status); or Project Management Professional status or working towards it A minimum of 6 years' experience as a Project Manager on renewable energy projects or a closely related infrastructure sector is a requirement with experience of performing the PSDP role on projects You have a proven track record on business development You are a self-starter, ambitious and able to manage multiple tasks. You have excellent written and oral communication skills and are willing to work in a variety of different roles Experience of one or more of the following would be an advantage: Recognised Project Management training; Business management experience Previous experience providing consulting services in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment; Commercial awareness and contract knowledge (e.g. FIDIC, NEC or similar); Design experience gained from concept development and detailed engineering; Practical experience gained from construction, commissioning, and testing; Additional Information AFRY is built on people and everyone should be able to be themselves in any situation.
