Job Summary Unified Administrator at Montefiore Health System – responsible for overseeing a wide range of administrative, operational, financial, strategic, and quality initiatives for the Department of Radiology. The role partners with the Chair of Radiology and collaborates with leadership to align service lines with strategy, drive change efforts, and advance business initiatives. Key responsibilities include identifying performance and quality indicators, managing recruitment, staffing, retention, associate performance, facilities management, practice efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The position also supports cross-campus responsibilities, strategic goals, business development opportunities, and overall departmental efficiency. Location & Details Location: Bronx, New YorkDepartment: Office of Faculty PracticeShift: Day (Mon‑Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM) – 7.5 hours dailyPay Range: $224,000 – $280,000 Essential Functions Develops, implements, and manages short- and long-range strategic and operational goals with leadership, assessing resources, creating business plans, defining metrics, coordinating practices, and leading implementation. Ensures departmental strategic goals are well planned and executed. Directs annual preparation and monthly monitoring of budgets, implements fiscal management systems, forecasts, monitors expense trends, prepares contribution‑margin variance analyses, and develops interventions to correct deficiencies. Explains monthly financial activities, variances, and projections; presents favorable year-end results to institutional leadership. Collaborates with leadership to establish development plans and annual performance goals, monitoring associate engagement and growth opportunities. Supports continuous personnel development, ensuring staff work toward organizational goals, are appropriately engaged, and compensated. Directs recruitment, hiring, and retention activities, overseeing budget capacity for personnel, provider credentialing, onboarding with HR, payroll processing, retention bonuses, and salary adjustments. Monitors recruitment and retention metrics. Prepares and analyzes dashboards to present revenue, expenses, and operational performance metrics to divisional leadership. Uses finance and operation metrics to improve operations. Manages marketing, PR, communication, and information availability; coordinates internal content production and media plans for website redesign and patient/referring physician outreach. Ensures department image and information access meet approval standards. Promotes satisfaction in accordance with Montefiore Excellence standards. Ensures compliance with balanced scorecard measures and regulatory agency standards. Provides excellent service across the organization. Implements and monitors regulatory, hospital, and departmental policies, ensuring compliance, response, and resolution. Aligns departmental operations with institutional goals and objectives. Leads or participates in departmental or hospital-wide committees, programs, or initiatives, such as Strategic Planning Committees. Actively improves service delivery processes within and outside the medical center. Manages recruitment, hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining processes for the department. Conducts effective management meetings to review operations, set goals, and track progress. Acts as the administrative point of contact for the Chair, identifying and resolving operational issues, communicating information, and facilitating required actions. Manages turnaround time and effectiveness of problem resolution. Liaises between department leadership and the organization to streamline services. Ensures fluid communication of information between the department and leadership. Analyzes and monitors volume, cost, and revenue metrics to maintain efficient operational workflow. Ensures financial stability of the department. Streamlines services across locations to meet operational and business needs. Delivers timely and efficient achievement of departmental goals. Qualifications BS required; MA preferred. 10+ years required. Strong finance background, including budget and reporting experience. Radiology experience preferred. Effective management skills to organize, direct, and evaluate hospital personnel. Analytical skills for problem solving and decision making. Excellent communication and writing skills with strong grammar. Excellent teamwork skills. Adaptable to change. Proficient with customer service principles. Excellent organizational and project management skills; manages multiple competing priorities and remains flexible. Computer literacy. Ability to analyze and develop reports. Knowledge of documentation regulations, coding, and systems. Capability to identify high-risk situations and quality issues, initiating appropriate interventions, recommendations, escalations, and reporting. Willingness to learn and accept new technologies and medical center business applications. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels and with other departments.
