Job Description We are seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer who can demonstrate the following attributes: Commitment to excellence in Health & Safety (H&S) in design, complying fully with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) and all other relevant H&S legislation. In‑depth knowledge of the layout and interconnectivity of typical water and wastewater treatment works processes and equipment including pumping systems. Strong communication skills to interact with other engineering disciplines and clients. Ability to produce clear and concise electrical design deliverables across all design stages of a project. Ability to manage design delivery and project manage. Leadership skills to manage and motivate individuals to consistently deliver. Willingness to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks. A drive to be abreast of professional development and knowledge of current and emerging technical solutions. Flexibility to travel within the UK (including Northern Ireland) and Ireland (where our head office is based) would be advantageous to help support our overall workload. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Design Manager. Part of a multi‑disciplined team of engineers responsible to produce design deliverables for water, wastewater and process treatment plants. Responsible for assisting in all aspects of Electrical design from site surveys of existing assets, optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing. Production of procurement specifications for Electrical equipment; cable calculations and production of detailed design construction drawings. Project managing third‑party designs and providing design assistance to installation and commissioning teams. Liaising with clients and subcontractors. Work as part of a team to support project delivery function, embracing the ethos of a “one team” culture. Ensure Design, Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to. Monitoring of design delivery performance and efficiency, adjusting and reacting as necessary to ensure targets are achieved and ensuring the MIDP is kept up to date. Produce Electrical design outputs as and when required. Ensure Glan Agua’s & the Clients’ Technical Requirements are met throughout the design. Conduct regular meetings with project delivery teams to allocate resources, monitor the plan and adjust as necessary in consultation with the project delivery teams. Monitor and update Design Change Control. Liaise between Mechanical and Civil & Structural Designers. Be involved in the growth and development of the company including expansion of the direct delivery model. Tasks include the development of business cases for onboarding staff, gap analysis of required resources, recruitment and structuring. Sector Construction Career Level Not Required #J-18808-Ljbffr
