Job Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist to join our Blood Sciences team within our Pathology Department at The London Clinic in Central London, with a competitive salary range on offer. Established in 1932, the clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, with state‑of‑the‑art facilities located around Harley Street. Duties and Responsibilities Carry out technical and scientific work in the laboratory under the direction of the Chief/Senior Biomedical Scientist or Consultant mainly in the Immunology and Biochemistry Departments. Work alongside the Blood Sciences team members and leaders to cultivate and maintain a culture in which staff are continuously improving the delivery of high‑quality, efficient and effective services. Undertake routine and specialist laboratory techniques in line with department standard operating procedures. Record information on the pathology laboratory information system and ensure it complies with national and local data standards. Assess, initiate and monitor appropriate action when a situation may compromise service delivery and to escalates as required. Be aware of the processes for escalation of laboratory issues. Key Skills & Experience HCPC registration. At least 2 years of experience in Immunology. Automated Biochemistry laboratory experience. Knowledge of ISO15189 requirements. Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification. Benefits Contributory pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%).
