Specialist Cardiac Physiologist for Invasive Cardiology Location: Cromwell Hospital, 164-178 Cromwell Road, London SW5 0TU Employment type: Permanent Hours: Full-Time, 37.50 hours per week Salary: £Competitive per annum, plus Bupa Benefits Job Overview As a Clinician at Bupa, you will be responsible for providing high standards of patient care in an invasive cardiology setting. Working closely with electrophysiology cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team, you will develop and operate technical electrophysiology services and participate in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias. Responsibilities Develop and lead the technical electrophysiology service ensuring high standards of patient care. Perform electrophysiology studies and ablations using EP systems (Bard, Micropace) and 3D mapping system Carto V7. Assist in interventional procedures: LHC and PCI (haemodynamic monitoring), coronary assessment (FFR/IFR-RFR, IVUS, IVL), support TAVI, valvuloplasty, closure devices and occasional RHC. Conduct CRM procedures: implantation, follow‑up, box changes, upgrades/downgrades, lead interventions, and awareness of left bundle, leadless and HIS pacing. Provide cryo ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF/PVI) procedures as required. Supervise and train staff, contribute to audit, research projects, and clinical equipment testing. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate findings effectively. Qualifications & Experience Appropriate clinical experience post qualification as a Clinical Physiologist. Extensive experience in invasive cardiac procedures and assessment. Proficient with 3D mapping and electrophysiology equipment. Experience with day‑to‑day supervision of staff. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Certification in Electrophysiology and Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) preferred. Membership or eligibility for relevant professional societies (e.g., British Society for Heart Rhythm, European Heart Rhythm Association). Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintenance of certifications, including ILS Immediate Life Support. Benefits Professional registration fee payment.
