OverviewIWS Water Hygiene are looking for a technically skilled and commercially driven Service Chemist Account Manager to oversee client accounts across the Midlands and North. This hybrid role blends water chemistry expertise with strategic account management and business development. You’ll deliver onsite chemical analysis for closed loop systems, cooling towers, steam boilers, and associated water treatment equipment, while expanding our client base and promoting our high-quality water treatment solutions.ResponsibilitiesManage and grow client accounts across the Midlands and North regions.Deliver onsite water chemistry analysis for cooling towers, steam boilers, process water systems, pre-treatment, and water softeners.Identify target markets and generate qualified leads through outreach, networking, and industry events.Build strong relationships with decision-makers and act as the primary contact for new business.Prepare and present tailored proposals, negotiate service agreements, and close deals.Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate service delivery and train technicians in water chemistry analysis.Support the wider sales team with technical education and upselling strategies.Maintain a detailed sales pipeline and report on business development activities.Represent the company as a trusted expert in water hygiene and treatment.What You’ll NeedMinimum 2 years’ experience in business development and client relationship management.Minimum 2 years’ experience in water treatment systems (steam, cooling, pre-treatment, softeners).Certified in Legionella awareness and control; recognised Legionella qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, IOSH) is desirable.Strong understanding of industrial water treatment processes and technical applications.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Proficiency in CRM software and time management tools.Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable with a results-driven mindset.Professional and ethical approach to client engagement.What You’ll Get in ReturnA competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus commissionCompany car or car cash alternativeCompany pension with employer contributionStore discount for personal shopping needs24-hour helpline providing free and confidential advice to you and your family on financial, legal, marital and health20 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays)Eyecare vouchers – via SpecsaversEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOther #J-18808-Ljbffr
