Join to apply for the English Teacher - SEN role at The Leader Group Role: English Teacher – SEN Location: Coundon, Bishop Auckland Salary: £27,456 – £43,014 per annum Employment type: Full‑time, Permanent About the Role You will be part of a specialist team supporting students with complex educational needs, including social, emotional, mental‑health, communication and trauma‑related challenges. Your duties will include: Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN). Delivering engaging English lessons tailored to individual learning needs. Setting, marking and providing constructive feedback on assignments, homework and assessments. Supporting pupils in gaining a strong command of spoken and written English, enabling them to communicate confidently and effectively. Ideal Candidate Passionate about working with students with SEND. Experienced – ideally with at least 2 years in a SEND environment or similar provision. Qualified – QTS/QTLS is essential.
