Skill Development: Encouraging, teaching, and modelling positive parenting skills (e.g., bathing, feeding, playing, and dealing with discipline) through individual and group sessions. Essential Support: Providing support on every aspect of daily life, health, and wellbeing, including baby care, feeding, sleeping, budgeting, and healthy lifestyle choices. Safeguarding: Prioritising the safety and welfare of children and taking appropriate steps in line with safeguarding procedures when necessary. Documentation: Ensuring all documentation is completed, evidence-based, and accurately recorded on the Tyre Hill House database (ClearCare). Therapeutic Approach: Adopting a therapeutic PACE approach (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity, and empathy) and trauma-informed principles when working with families. Flexible Working: Providing childcare on occasion to enable parents to attend individual and group sessions. What We're Looking For (Essential Criteria) Skills & Ability: Ability to demonstrate good written and verbal skills. Sound IT skills, including Microsoft Office and computer-based record keeping. Ability to listen and observe interactions between parents and their children. Ability to work openly and honestly within the team. Ability to work in a fast-paced/busy environment. Education/Training: Prepared to work to achieve at least NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma (or equivalent). English (language) equivalent to GCSE D or above. Other: Prepared to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, and to 'sleep in' (if required). Hold a full driving license. Desirable: Experience of working directly with children and families, knowledge of child development, and an NVQ Level 3 qualification. If you are passionate about supporting care-experienced parents and empowering families, we would love to hear from you.
