Department Description The Treasury Department at Allica Bank is responsible for proactive management of financial risks which arise in the normal course of the Bank’s activity. These risks include capital adequacy, market risk, liquidity risk, funding risk, IRRBB & counterparty risk. Additionally, Treasury manages the collateral exchange for secured funding, oversees the relationship with the central bank and institutional counterparties. It plays a crucial role in the strategic projects for the bank such as origination of new business activity, composition of funding mix and structure of the investment portfolio of the bank. Treasury is responsible for the inter‑company funding process and its pricing. Role Description This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation in Treasury Front‑Office activities. It provides hands‑on exposure to key areas such as securities dealing, liquidity management, and derivatives execution, while supporting the smooth operation of day‑to‑day processes. Working alongside experienced Treasury professionals, the role combines practical involvement with structured development, enabling progression as capability grows. It is well‑suited to candidates with between 2‑5 years of relevant experience who are motivated to learn, contribute, and advance within a dynamic banking environment. Principle Accountabilities Ensure the Treasury function contributes effectively to the Bank’s overall performance while maintaining full compliance with best‑practice standards, regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations. Treasury Markets Assist with daily trading and booking of securities and derivatives. Support the management of Allica’s securities portfolio. Execute securities transactions within approved mandate. Help maintain strong external relationships with Treasury counterparties, including regular service reviews. Monitor counterparty credit exposure on an ongoing basis. Responsibility for the ongoing counterparty credit monitoring. Market Risk Support the execution of the Bank’s hedging programmes, including structural hedging. Assist with booking new derivatives and FX transactions promptly to ensure compliance with limits. Liquidity Collaborate on daily and intraday cash management, responsible for ensuring optimal cash balances for current accounts. Treasury Documents, Policies and Procedures Counterparty Credit Risk Dealing Procedures Intraday Liquidity Treasury Management System (TMS) Monthly ALCO Slides and Minutes Treasury Systems & Exposure Contribute to the development of a modern, digitally focused Treasury function. Support the updating and maintenance of the Treasury Management System (TMS) including testing and implementing new trade set‑ups with Treasury Operations. Personal Attributes & Experience Financial markets knowledge (certified dealers welcome) Trade execution experience / knowledge Bloomberg experience Strong attention to detail and willingness to take a hands‑on approach to BAU activities. Preferred Experience of Treasury Management Systems (TMS) Takes ownership of tasks, prioritises effectively, and proactively supports the team by stepping in when needed, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and initiative. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Treasury markets experience gained within a regulated firm, preferably a retail deposit‑taking and corporate lending institution. An understanding of risks, compliance and regulation requirements facing banks and Treasury. Prepared to challenge but to do so in a constructive manner. A proactive, “can‑do” attitude with flexibility and problem‑solving skills. Committed, hardworking and focused upon delivering results. Clear and confident communication skills.
