Senior Principal Protection & Control Design Engineer Join to apply for the Senior Principal Protection & Control Design Engineer role at Stantec. Your Role As a Senior Principal P&C Engineer, lead and collaborate with a team of engineers on projects up to 400 kV, taking projects from concept through detailed design and supporting construction and energisation. Ideally, you will have experience with key T&D clients in the UK. Develop scoping documentation and Main Connections & Protection Diagrams. Review Protection & Control designs developed by third parties. Specify P&C related equipment and plant such as relays, CTs, and VTs. Produce detailed designs including AC/DC schematics. Conduct protection grading studies, produce relay files and settings. Review commissioning plans and attend commissioning panel meetings. See the below link for more information on our Energy sector teams: Stantec Energy Transition - UK About You Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field. Experience working on Distribution Networks as a Senior/Principal Protection & Control Design Engineer. Knowledge and experience with protection relays and relay panels, CT & VT sizing calculations, protection grading studies, and producing detailed AC/DC drawings. Familiarity with UK electrical practices and standards and an understanding/appreciation of CDM regulations. High regard for safety with demonstrable experience in risk mitigation.
