Senior Principal Engineering Lead – QinetiQ Join us as Senior Principal Engineering Lead at one of our customer sites in Corsham, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds. The Role As a Senior Principal Engineering Lead you will be a respected leader and senior technical expert ensuring delivery of complex solutions to meet business objectives and drive growth. Day‑to‑day you will support technical strategy, using skills and vision to positively influence the technical direction benefiting both QinetiQ and its customers. Your Responsibilities Will Include Leading project teams to deliver complex solutions using best practices, technically leading and integrating outputs delivered by third parties. Providing technical leadership for programme, project and bidding activities. Developing the company and customer strategic intent around IT infrastructure. Leading the development of technical standards that comply with statutory, regulatory, company and project‑specific processes and procedures. Supporting the development of IT specialism in the Technical Disciplines and resourcing decisions, including long‑term and short‑term planning. Collaborating extensively across businesses and functions and utilising all relevant staff and resources. Essential Experience Of The Senior Principal Engineering Lead Proven leadership experience leading both technical teams and delivery of complex IT projects. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including software‑defined datacentres, Windows and Linux environments, infrastructure design, software design and automation design. Ability to influence, shape, describe and deliver whole or parts of projects, and exercise practical solutions to customer problems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to present completed technical material to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
