Children and Young Peoples Skills Mentor x 2 Salary: 31,537 - 33,699 * About the role We are looking to recruit a Children and Young People's Skills Mentor to join the Pupil Referral Unit in Ceredigion on a full-time basis. This is an exciting role within the service providing the opportunity to work with young people from the community and improve their educational outcomes within a bespoke and person-centred educational setting. On a day to day basis you will: create and coordinate educational and wellbeing support that meet the Additional Learning Needs of our pupils ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all pupils who attend the unit provide high quality pastoral care by coordinating programs and interventions create an inclusive, comfortable and happy school environment to ensure improvements in learner engagement and wellbeing work as part of a team to ensure effective daily provision within the unit We are looking to recruit an individual that has: strong communication and interpersonal skills excellent negotiation skills excellent behaviour management skills positive, inclusive attitude towards diversity ability to relate well to vulnerable/challenging pupils and young people ability to work independently or as part of a team to be innovative and creative in your approach to supporting vulnerable and challenging young people ability to be trustworthy and reliable, and to respect confidentiality ability to maintain a professional relationship whilst working with young people and external delivery partners Job Description and Person Specification.
