This role will assist with all phases of the bid process—from evaluating project documents and performing takeoffs to coordinating subcontractor quotes and preparing proposal packages. It is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual looking to grow into a full estimator role. You will play a key role in positioning Doggett to win projects in sectors such as multifamily, hospitality, religious, healthcare, and light industrial construction across North and South Carolina. Key Responsibilities Review construction drawings and specifications to determine scope of work Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, formwork, and accessories using tools such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and Excel Assist with pricing based on internal data, subcontractor/vendor input, and historical cost analysis Participate in pre-bid site visits to assess project conditions Prepare accurate, competitive estimates that align with company objectives Bid Process Coordination Manage incoming bid invitations and maintain a well-organized bid calendar Prepare bid packages and documentation, including quotes, pricing sheets, forms, and certifications Ensure all bids are submitted accurately and on time Track submitted bids, results, follow-up activity, and client feedback Identify and prequalify subcontractors and suppliers Solicit and evaluate quotes for accuracy, scope coverage, and competitiveness Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and field teams to ensure constructability and accuracy Support seamless handoff from estimating to operations after project award Maintain clear documentation of assumptions, quantities, and scope details Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience (minimum 3 years) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Solid understanding of concrete construction terminology and methods (slab-on-grade, footings, vertical walls, post-tension systems, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or AutoCAD Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Effective written and verbal communication skills Professional, detail-oriented, and team-focused mindset Preferred Skills Previous experience as a junior estimator or bid coordinator in commercial construction Experience with bid platforms such as Procore, BuildingConnected, or similar What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off Opportunities for long-term professional growth and advancement A collaborative, high-performance work environment aligned with company values Leadership that supports mentorship, development, and team success Interested candidates are encouraged to apply and become part of a growing company with a strong reputation and a supportive team culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
