Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whānau‑centred care, and excellence.About the RoleTimaru's Emergency Department is dynamic, collegial, and varied and with around 22,000 presentations a year, the team sees a cross section of emergencies and trauma and are supported by inpatient colleagues in Anaesthesia, Paediatrics, Mental health, O'G, General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Internal Medicine.The team is made up of a tight knit group of supportive specialists, medical officers and emergency nurses. The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing practice and applies critical reasoning and professional judgement, along with knowledge and skills to implement care assessment, care plans, treatment intervention and evaluation of patient/family/whanau health needs.About youAs a senior nurse, the successful person in this role will apply experience with critical reasoning and professional judgment and make decisions along with responsibility for improving the quality of professional nursing practice and high standards of care. Supporting an environment in which excellence in clinical care and equity of health outcomes can flourish is important.
