This is a 37 hours per week role, Monday to Friday, based at our Yeovil Depot (although working elsewhere within the county may be required)Will work as part of the wider Grounds Operations TeamFull-Time Permanent contractWhat will I be doing?We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:Undertaking of all grounds/horticultural operationsUse of hand tools, powered hand tools and ride on machinery to achieve the aboveDriving a company vehicle up to 3.5t and trailer.Complete paperwork / online forms as requiredWhat kind of experience or qualifications do I need?We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:Hold a full driving licence or able to travel countywide, including rural areas not covered by public transportHave grounds or horticultural experienceExperience of using appropriate equipment e.g. mowers and powered hand tools such as hedging tools and blowersAble to work as part of a teamUsed to working outdoors.We’re proud to be here for the people of Somerset.
