PM232239 – Specialty Doctor role at NHS ScotlandSeniority level: Mid‑Senior.Employment type: Full‑time.Job function: Health Care Provider.OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Specialty Doctor/Clinical Fellow in Breast Surgery to work with our friendly and proactive expanding team. The post is a 1‑year fixed‑term, full‑time position of 40 hours per week with no out‑of‑hours on‑call commitments. Successful candidates will work independently with their own clinics and theatre sessions, building toward a totally independent practice with consultant support when needed.DepartmentThe department offers a full service of Screening and Symptomatic Breast cancer care, with access to full range of radiological support including MRI biopsy and AI diagnostic facilities. The theatre suite supports all Oncoplastic Breast Surgery techniques, from localisation of non‑palpable lesions to reconstruction, with full microsurgery support.ResponsibilitiesRun independent clinics and theatre sessions, developing own breast cancer surgery practice.Cover clinical work in new patient one‑stop clinic, review clinics and inpatient cover.Assist with weekly MDT, screening clinic and consultant result clinic sessions.Participate in teaching, QI projects, M&M and CME sessions.Engage in active trial recruitment and research projects.Accept on‑call commitment during working hours for breast abscess referrals and referrals from other specialties.QualificationsFull registration with the GMC and licence to practise in place prior to starting.Experience in breast surgery and clinical fellow level.Flexible to cover clinical duties and on‑call commitments during working hours.Willingness to discuss higher exams, CESR and special development plans with head of department.ContactFor further information contact Mr Ahmed Mustafa, Clinical Lead, Breast Unit 01224 554466 (Secretary) or Ms Mary Cairns, Unit Clinical Director – 01224 555817 (Secretary) #J-18808-Ljbffr
