Join to apply for the Site Agent role at John Sisk & Son LtdThe Site Agent will be based on our Birchley Island Civils project and will be the construction leader on the ground. Manages the overall day to day supervision of the construction site. He/she will monitor the preparation of the site prior to project launch and oversee the safe and efficient operation of the site throughout the construction phase. The first 2 months will be night work doing trial holes then 6 months on the ECI phase before moving into main junction improvement work.John Sisk & Son have been building excellence as a family-owned international construction company by offering trust, certainty and value to our clients whilst being at the heart of change.OverviewThe Site Agent will be responsible for the overall management of the construction site.ResponsibilitiesParticipates in compiling the initial programme and have a full awareness of weekly targetsPlans and oversees the site setup, ensuring that the appropriate facilities are in place prior to the project launchManages the relationship with the sub-contractors while working onsiteTakes ownership for ensuring that HSEQS protocols are always adhered to on sitesAlways maintains quality control proceduresEnsures that the TWR is in place and is up to dateMonitors onsite energy and waste dataIs responsible for ensuring an efficient registration system is in place to monitor all individuals entering and leaving the siteFlags any issues with the Contract Management/Commercial Teams, which have the potential to have an impact on the effective delivery of the project – I.e. materials, works schedules, resources, H&S matters or issues relating to cost or delivery scheduleDrives the pace of the project and plans the work in the fieldCoordinates and priorities the sequence of activities on siteManages a team of foremen and other site staffExperienceStrong People Management experienceKnowledge of good industrial relations practicesAbility to deal with conflicting priorities and difficult stakeholders, particularly subcontractorsAbility to communicates with colleagues and clients in a warm and persuasive way both formally and informally and able to alter style and method to suit audienceCan build consensusStrong people skills and able to manage a variety of subcontractor supervisionMore than ten years’ experience working across a range of sectoral projectsExperience of leading others and track record of delivering medium to large scale projects.QualificationsTrade or Technical backgroundIOSH or equivalent H&S management trainingTemporary Works & Excavation SafetyPermitting requirements for live energy worksWorking at Heights & ScaffoldingLifting & Cranage operationsOther HSEQS training as per site HSE planNew technology in Construction systemsUnderstanding of the BIM strategyAdditional InformationCompetitive Salary with yearly increaseCompany Car or Car AllowanceHealthcare26 days holiday (option to purchase 5 more)Employer pensionDeath in service – life assuranceCompetitive mileage rateTravel expensesFlexible and remote workingEnhanced parental leaveProfessional and Educational developmentOur people are at the heart of our success and our proposition to them is work with purpose, have time for life, build a career with no limits and surround yourself with great people.At Sisk we are committed to attracting and hiring diverse talent into our organisation.
