Join to apply for the EMEA VAT Senior Vice President role at ACCA Careers We’re seeking a future team member for the role of EMEA VAT Senior Vice President to join our EMEA Tax Department team. This role is located in London, UK. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Manage and oversee indirect tax compliance across multiple EMEA jurisdictions, leveraging initiatives to automate VAT processes using AI, RPA, and tax technology platforms to drive improvements that reduce errors, minimize risks, and identify enhancements. Provide indirect tax advice and training to Technology and Finance teams to ensure finance/billing system modifications meet VAT reporting obligations, including e‑invoicing and VAT procedures advice to AP/AR teams. Identify opportunities to optimize VAT reporting, manage VAT risk, and deliver process improvements. Manage the indirect tax processes and control environment to support compliance with the UK Senior Accounting Officer regime, SOX, and financial statement audits. Proactively manage EMEA VAT audits and enquiries to conclusion, partnering with Finance, Legal, and business teams. Partner with EMEA Banking and Asset Management Commercial teams to evaluate business change initiatives and advise on regional VAT implications. Implement strategies to optimize VAT, including seeking advice from external advisors and communicating this advice to non‑technical senior audiences. Provide VAT advice on ad hoc queries related to new products, client and vendor contracts, and discreet projects with a risk‑management and commercial focus. Keep the business updated on changes in VAT legislation and new indirect tax regimes through attendance at industry forums and strong relationships with external advisors. Design and implement new processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
