Technical Engineer We are a company that specializes in the design and manufacture of pumps and skid systems for industrial and environmental applications. We combine practical engineering with innovation to deliver solutions to our customers requirements We are seeking a motivated technical design / sales engineer to lead the design and commercial development of our product range. The position encompasses sales and design of engineered solutions from existing / new customers across all industrial sectors. This is a varied role for an individual who enjoys technical problem solving and client interaction, with excellent career development opportunities within a long established business. Key responsibilities Engineering / Design Specification of pump solutions to customer applications. Design pump skid assemblies, including pumps, motors, valves, and base frames. Develop technical proposals, datasheets, and cost estimates. Specify pumps, materials, and instruments in line with customer requirements Support manufacturing and testing through to delivery. Sales / Commercial Act as the technical point of contact for customer enquiries. Interpret client specifications and prepare quotations and proposals. Attend customer meetings and site visits to define system requirements. Work with suppliers to source equipment and obtain competitive pricing. Help shape the sales strategy for pump skid and packaged system offerings. Compile tender submissions and follow-up. Required Skills and Experience HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field). Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering in a pump, hydraulic, process system design or related field. Confident communicating with clients and suppliers. Commercially aware — able to prepare proposals, quotes, and cost breakdowns Desirable Experience in technical sales or project estimation. Familiarity with chemical dosing, booster skids, or industrial water systems. Ability to generate concept designs and pricing independently. Full UK driving license. Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD Plant 3D.
