Primary Purpose: The Manager of Inventory Management for Marketplace will lead the team to create, finalise, and execute the in-season management of inventory and allocation to support multiple Marketplace partners. This role is instrumental in driving performance against sales and margin targets by optimising inventory and maximising both pre-season and in-season stock. Reporting to the Tapestry Senior Director of Inventory Management & Allocation, the Manager will lead, develop and inspire a team of two, a Senior Inventory Management Planner and Allocator. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Inventory Management to: Lead inventory management for the Coach and Kate Spade New York Marketplace channel Conduct monthly sales reforecast against OTB plans, supporting with the evaluation of business performance and update of sales, shipments, inventory, GM%, DR% targets, and stock turn Drive inventory optimisation in line with global targets to support delivery of the Annual Operating plan and facilitate inventory optimisation Maintain and publish seasonal OTB, including sales, gross margin, shipment, inventory turn and W.O.H targets at department/class level Manage the carryover vs seasonal inventory strategy (NOOS management) in-season trading, driving risk and opportunity discussions Determine optimal fulfilment for B2B inventory modelling (utilising planning system and tools) Utilise planning system management and ensure deliverables are met by the team Partner with Buying teams to drive movement of aged inventory through relevant channels and share timelines with the business Collate and present inventory overviews and weekly trade to Global and Leadership teams Partner closely with the Finance team to align on short and long-term sales, gross margin, and inventory targets; support the monthly planning process with the goal of collaborative alignment The accomplished individual will possess: 4+ years’ experience in inventory management/merchandise planning Experience with Market Place partners desirable Highly commercial, numerate and analytical, and familiar with demand planning processes; operates with a clear command of key financial drivers in driving a business Advanced computer skills in Excel and retail planning systems e.g. RPAS, Cora, SAP Knowledge of the fashion or accessories luxury goods market Proven people management skills with the ability to effectively communicate, mentor and problem solve Organised and analytical with strong attention to detail Experience of working with a global company/brand Ability to manage own workload and effectively focus on multiple priorities Excellent collaborator with the desire to achieve team objectives and goals Experience working with European markets What Tapestry can offer you: Hybrid working (3 days working from the office, 2 days remote) Option to finish early on a Friday (Flex Fridays) 1 Paid Volunteering Day per year and opportunities to volunteer with global projects Internal mobility & career progression Regular Social Events - Seasonal & Cultural Equity Inclusion & Diversity initiatives which include employee resource groups & regional inclusion council Other benefits include: 25 days holiday in addition to bank holidays Annual Incentive Plan (company performance bonus) Multi brand discount up to 50% off Coach & Kate Spade New York Private Healthcare with health assessment (Bupa) Bupa rewards - Financial wellbeing support and wellness discounts Free 24/7 support for family building, fertility and menopause with Maven Employee Assistance Program Interest free season ticket loan Cycle to work scheme Our Competencies for All Employees Courage: Doesn’t hold back anything that needs to be said; provides current, direct, complete, and “actionable” positive and corrective feedback to others; lets people know where they stand; faces up to people problems on any person or situation (not including direct reports) quickly and directly; is not afraid to take negative action when necessary.
