Monitoring to support and further improve the service is carried out by means of Weekly Stroke Breach meetings, peer mortality reviews, monthly Stroke governance meetings and close adherence to the SSNAP criteria. Recent changes to the SSNAP scoring criteria have created a new challenge for the Team at FGH to improve even further in pursuit of regaining their "A" grade status, a rating which was regularly achieved under the previous SSNAP scoring metric. You will also work very closely with nursing colleagues from the Nurse Consultant and Stroke Advanced Nurse Practitioners, to the Matrons, Ward Managers, Nurses, Therapists and Secretaries, to assist in providing excellent care to our patients at all stages of their hospital journey. You will provide clinical leadership to a dedicated team and will at times be the senior Stroke Doctor on the rota.
