The School and Role

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly, organised primary school in Northumberland, Ashington. Working as part of an established team, the desired Teaching Assistant will be supporting both Reception and Year 1, delivering tailored one to one support to children with SEND who require consistent and affective care. The role would be Monday to Friday, and per week the role will be 16.5 hours. This school believes in an embedded creative curriculum in all areas of learning. The school is open to unqualified Teaching Assistants applying if they have experience of supporting children one to one and working with pupils with SEND. Ideally with experience within the EYFS and KS1 but not essential.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

Experience of working with primary school aged children
Experience of working with pupils with SEND and offering one to one support
Ideally will hold a relevant EYFS/ TA qualification
A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
An ability to work as part of a team
