MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Location: Across Three Care Homes

Bingley area

Employment Type: Full-Time – 40 HOURS

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and smooth running of our three care homes. This is a varied and rewarding role in a caring environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and ensuring safe, comfortable surroundings for our residents.

About the Role

You will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across all three sites, ensuring our buildings and facilities remain safe, compliant, and well-presented. The role requires a broad skill set, strong initiative, and the ability to manage your workload across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across all care home sites

Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as scheduled

Undertake general joinery, including doors, frames, fittings, and minor carpentry repairs

Perform plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and maintaining fixtures

Handle basic electrical work including lighting, sockets, and minor fault finding (within competency and regulations)

Complete decorating tasks such as painting, filling, and touch-ups to maintain a high standard of presentation

Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests

Liaise with care home managers, contractors, and suppliers as required

Keep accurate records of work undertaken and materials used

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with relevant regulations

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role, ideally in a care, residential, or similar environment

Competence across joinery, plumbing, basic electrical work, and decorating

Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices

Ability to work independently across multiple sites

Full UK driving licence

Good communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
