Their goal is to create accessible, intuitive solutions that enhance the discovery of scientific, technical, and healthcare information, supporting research and education worldwide.Job DescriptionA Senior UX Researcher leads a team's understanding of user behaviours, needs and motivations. She/he leads the UX Research strategy for a business or product line. She/he is an expert user of a number of research and testing methodologies. She/he informally mentors other researchers.ResponsibilitiesDeeply understands customer use cases and market segments.Collaborates closely with UX Designers to ensure user feedback shapes design.Coaches teams to align with customer needs and shares research findings.Stays informed about competitors and regulatory environments.Analyzes briefs to ensure the right problems are addressed.Presents research insights to stakeholders and guides future projects.Leads user-centered research processes and mentors junior researchers.Applies a range of UX research techniques and creates documentation.Regularly tests design work with users and uses data to set project metrics.Expert in research analysis tools and software (e.g., Qualtrics, Lookback, Usertesting.com).Mentors junior researchers in technical skills and builds relationships with tech teams.CompetenciesTakes ownership of personal development and career.Engages in regular self-development conversations with manager, coach, or mentor.Learns from both successes and failures.Builds challenges into current assignments for growth.Utilizes formal and informal networks effectively.Identifies and analyzes problems, proposing effective solutions.Manages day-to-day issues independently.Develops and integrates new ideas to improve processes or products.Communicates clearly, listens actively, and questions to understand others’ viewpoints.Encourages cooperation and collaboration within and across teams.Builds strong relationships, treats all individuals with respect, and handles conflict constructively.Facilitates open discussion, removes barriers to team performance, and seeks further collaboration.Work in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
