Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in the North East due to a number of exciting new projects. What You’ll Do As an Assistant QS, you’ll be working on a variety of projects in the North East reporting directly to one of our Senior Quantity Surveyors / Commercial Managers. The role is primarily site based and will provide commercial support to the project teams on all projects for which they are responsible. Ensure that projects they are responsible for are administered effectively and that the business objectives in terms of appropriate commercial targets and customer focus are achieved with the support of the commercial team. Skills and Experience Proven Commercial experience working for a Main Contractor. Familiarity with JCT / NEC / forms of contract. Knowledge of current Construction Law. Experience in commercial management. Experience in procurement of subcontractors, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations. Good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis. Personal Attributes Ability to work in a team environment contributing across the business unit. Good management skills. Ability to motivate self and colleagues to achieve high standards of compliance. Good operational planning and time management skills. Why Join Caddick Group?
