We have an opportunity for a B5 Occupational Therapist to join our Hull and East Riding Community Services rotation.We currently have roles in various locations within Community Rehab and Intermediate Care, which includes both our bedded units and community based roles ; preventing admissions, facilitating discharges and providing longer term rehabilitation .The locations are across Hull and the East Riding.If the successful candidate is interested in experiencing a rotation in Mental Health, it may also be possible to arrange a rotation across to our Humber Foundation Trust colleagues.You would receive supervision from senior clinicians, will be well supported within your team, and will be able to access B5 peer support from other Occupational Therapists, as well as networking with other therapists at our Professional Development group.We are very flexible in our approach to working patterns, so long as our services are covered. Some of the rotational posts will include working on weekends and public holidays.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will offer a high standard of evidence-based Occupational Therapy, working as part of the Hull and East Riding Community Rehabilitation Service. Join us on our journey and help us make history.Job responsibilitiesPlease see the job description and person specification attached to this job advert for full details on the role.Person SpecificationQualificationsDiploma or Degree in Occupational TherapyCurrent HCPC RegistrationDemonstrable experience as a Practice Educator of pre-registration studentsEvidence of current CPD/formal qualifications at an advanced level e.g. degree or post graduate level or equivalent knowledge/experiential learningKnowledge & ExperienceA broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. Mental Capacity Act, Social InclusionKnowledge of occupational therapy models of practice, standardised assessments and their useBasic IT skillsWillingness to undertake and complete preceptorshipAppropriate knowledge/experience of working in community and adult physical health clinical practice areasUnderstanding of caseload management and responsibilitiesConversant in the 7 C's - Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, Commitment and Candour and the values of the organisationEvidence of good time management skillsFull understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. NSF, Social InclusionFull understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical areaEvidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical areaEvidence of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/developmentEvidence of promoting/supporting active user involvement and participationDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
