We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed-term post for 6 months (can be extended to 1 year).

Applications are invited for the posts of Clinical Research Fellow in Renal transplantation and renal failure surgery, based in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Glasgow. The post involves clinical work within the West of Scotland Renal Transplant Unit and one of Europe's busiest renal failure surgical services. The posts will involve support of the (currently 1 in 7, 24 hour partial shift) on-call rota, elective surgery, MDT and clinic duty, which will also include the departmental general surgical activity. The post specifically involves support of departmental service development and research work and several high profile, multicentre studies in vascular access for which the unit is lead centre. Candidates will be strongly supported to register for a higher degree during tenure in this post.
