Bank Staff Nurse Employer: Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) Location: Basingstoke, RG24 9NA Posted: 28 November 2025 Job Summary HRH Bank Staff Nurses will join the diverse, enthusiastic nursing teams at HHFT across Hampshire and surrounding areas. The role offers a range of shifts including weekdays, weekends, early shifts, late shifts, long days, and nights. Responsibilities Provide senior nursing care in a variety of clinical areas and specialties. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare support workers, doctors, and other professionals. Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient documentation. Participate in induction, mandatory training, and continuous professional development (CPD). Support revalidation and obtain required training certificates, including evidence of IV training. Ensure adherence to Trust values, legal responsibilities, and current statutory requirements. Actively contribute to quality improvement and audit initiatives. Essential Qualifications & Experience Degree level education or equivalent through alternative study or experience. Professional UK registration (e.g., NMC, HPC). Computer literate. Evidence of CPD recorded for professional profile. Completed clinical placements across a range of areas. Knowledge of the management of in‑patients and outpatients with evidence‑based strategies. Experience with multidisciplinary team working. Understanding of Health Environment policies and legislation. Awareness of local and national agenda within the speciality. Desirable Qualifications & Experience Experience in staff supervision. Experience in customer service and handling complaints. Awareness of local and national agenda within the speciality. Essential Skills and Ability Demonstrate Trust values in behaviour. Strong written and verbal communication in English. Clear and logical presentation of information. Effective communication of complex, sensitive, or confidential information. Understand legal responsibilities of the profession. Self‑motivated and able to motivate others.
