Two week induction to the unit whereby you will have the opportunity to observe surgical procedures and specialist clinics Supportive line managers Who we are: We are a small, friendly department who pride ourselves on working together as part of a team. Our unit consists of 10 beds, caring for women undergoing both breast and gynaecological operations as well as caring for women up to 16 weeks of pregnancy. Main duties of the job Role Description: An opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join us on a fixed term basis on the fantastic Women's Health Unit. Person Specification Qualifications Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, or employment experience Experience Knowledge and experience of a range of approaches to the management of patients utilising clinical reasoning Previous experience in area of Women's Health Skills Ability to demonstrate the required behaviour in keeping with the Trust values Good communication skills to communicate confidential, complex and sensitive information in an appropriate manner IV trained Venepuncture and cannulation competent Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
