SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced and caring individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A vibrant and inclusive school in St Helens is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

Position Details:

Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant

Immediate start required

Located in St Helens (WA10 postcode area)

Temporary to long-term, with the possibility of becoming permanent

Your Role Will Include:

Supporting children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with varying additional needs such as autism, ADHD, and social/emotional difficulties

Assisting with the delivery of individualised learning plans

Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet the needs of the pupil

Encouraging independence and building positive relationships with learners

Ideal Candidate:

Has experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting

Patient, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations

Able to adapt to the needs of individual pupils

Holds a relevant qualification (Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is beneficial but not essential)
