OverviewOver 30 years of quality groundworks and civil engineeringWe are currently seeking a HR Admin Apprentice. In this role you will develop hands-on skills in HR administration, build confidence in managing confidential information, and learn how HR contributes to the wider success of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, people-focused, and eager to build a career while developing strong administrative skills.Key responsibilitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systemsAdvertise vacancies and manage applicationsOrganise interviews, assessments, and trial daysPrepare interview packs and maintain recruitment trackersCollect, verify and process all required onboarding documentation, ensuring all workforce are fully compliant before mobilisationSchedule and coordinate induction sessions with key team membersArrange PPE and book pre-tests for relevant roles i.e. CSCSPrepare and distribute induction materials (handbooks, policies, welcome packs)Update HR systemsRecord completion of induction activities and maintain accurate recordsThe Successful Applicant will haveEnglish GCSE Grade 4/C, Level 2 Functional Skills, or equivalentMathematics GCSE Grade 4/C, Level 2 Functional Skills, or equivalentBe proficient with MS office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and high standardsA trustworthy and professional approach, always maintaining confidentialityA positive attitude and willingness to learnFlexibility to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentWhat We OfferA structured apprenticeship programme in Business Administration leading to a Level 3 qualificationYou’ll gain experience through both on-the-job learning and off-the-job training. Depending on the training provider, this could include college day release, online workshops, and regular assessor visitsHands-on experience and exposure to a variety of business functions within a construction environmentCareer development opportunities within the company upon successful completion of the apprenticeshipPackageWeekly Hours: 07:30 - 16:30, Monday to Wednesday plus dedicated study time (we are open to discussing reasonable adjustments)Holiday Allowance: 23 days plus bank holidays, with additional holiday based on service.
