Job Description Our client is a highly successful and national asbestos consultancy, providing a wide range of professional asbestos and environmental services to a mixed portfolio of clients, including Blue Chip clients. We are looking for a high calibre, enthusiastic, self‑driven and commercially focused Asbestos Bid Manager based in and around Greater Manchester. Ideally the candidate will have extensive experience managing a team of bid writers and working on PQQs, ITTs and tender returns. Applications will be considered from Warrington, Preston, Trafford, Salford, Stockport, Liverpool and surrounding areas. Requisites Good educational background. Significant experience in bid management, sales, business development, commercial, project and risk management. Good knowledge of commercial and other sectors. Excellent communication, people‑management, organisational, presentation and leadership skills. Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package. Purpose of the Role Prepare and win bids, taking responsibility for the end‑to‑end bid process. Key Responsibilities Ensure the bids team carries out work effectively. Get involved with PQQs and tender opportunities, evaluating and completing on time scales. Manage bid qualification process effectively. Coordinate bid inputs from stakeholders – sales, marketing, finance, technical teams, legal, etc. Work with Sales and Managing Directors to ensure technical and commercial aspects of tenders are completed within timelines. Complete written proposals and prepare management summaries. Deliver compliant and commercially sound bids, understanding and resolving various business issues. Arrange post‑bid reviews and feedback with clients/customers. Drive continual improvement of tender documentation. Maintain and build strong relationships with the Marketing Manager and the company’s prestigious client portfolio. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping all information consistent and up to date.
