Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and friendly CT team at The Countess of Chester Hospital on a 12‑month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. You will work full‑time (37.5 hours per week) across the Countess of Chester and Ellesmere Port Hospitals, supporting our well‑established cardiac CT service and working weekends and out‑of‑hour service as required. Responsibilities Produce high quality images across the spectrum of CT examinations. Manage and support the Band 5 radiographers and students. Ensure the smooth operation of the CT service. Be responsible for the standards of care provided within the CT department; in collaboration with the line manager, ensure resources are monitored and tailored to meet the needs of the service within the constraints of a financial budget. Promote education and training within CT. Keep up to date competency records. Actively participate in CPD. Provide a 24/7 service to support the hospital to enable a consistently safe and efficient CT service. Qualifications & Requirements BSc/DCR in radiography (essential). Registered with the HCPC. Experience in CT in an acute NHS trust essential. Willingness to work weekends, out‑of‑hour service, and across both sites. Full DBS check required; costs will be deducted from salary over the first three months of employment.
