Teaching Assistant – SEN Permanent Term Contract Full Time, Term Time plus 2 days Band 4 £25,583 to £26,824[FTE] per annum (£21,563 to £22,603 pro rata) Cambois Primary School is a small, inclusive school, beautiful rural location, enthusiastic and friendly amazing children; dedicated and hardworking staff, governing body and parents Our governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join their very successful team from 5th January 2026. You will be required to work in our specialist support base supporting students with a range of needs including autism, social and emotional difficulties, communication challenges, and complex behavioural needs. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and may include an online search as part of due diligence on shortlisted applicants. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided. Qualifications Resilience, patience, and a warm, supportive nature Confidence in managing challenging behaviours with a calm approach Committed to full‑time hours NVQ level 3 in childcare or equivalent Excellent classroom management skills Experience of meeting a range of Special Educational Needs Recent experience working with childcare Confidence in own literacy and numeracy skills Highest expectations of pupil performance A sense of humour Working pattern: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
