Lecturer – Counselling & Psychotherapy This role involves teaching on our Level 4 Adult part‑time day (Tuesdays and/or Thursdays) and possibly across other counselling programmes, including Levels 2, 3 and 5 (Wednesdays). The lecturer will take responsibility for teaching, marking, providing tutorial support and occasional out‑of‑hours activities (such as selection days, interviews, and open events). Responsibilities Teach Level 4 Adult part‑time day courses and possibly other counselling programmes (Levels 2, 3, 5). Mark and give feedback on student assessments and support students through tutorials. Support the development of student skills, maintain boundaries, and provide warm, empathic relationships. Participate in occasional out‑of‑hours activities such as selection days, interviews, and open events. Contribute to all aspects of the Section/School, including teaching support across other programmes. Qualifications and Experience Professionally accredited registered psychotherapist and/or counsellor with a minimum Level 6 Diploma or Honours Degree. Practicing member/accredited member of BACP, UKCP or a comparable professional body (or willing to gain this). Minimum three years post‑qualification experience. Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one, with experience teaching counselling to at least level 3 or above. Supervision qualification or experience providing clinical supervision to groups or individuals in counselling settings.
