Sports Graduate for Challenging Behaviour. Location: Cheltenham. GL51. Start Date: January 5th. Hours: Full-time, 8: am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. If the idea of harnessing the power of sports to transform the educational experience for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), Autism and related behavioural challenges fires you up, then we have an engaging and rewarding position waiting for you in Cheltenham. Who We Are Looking For: We are in search of a dynamic, resilient and compassionate individual with a sports-oriented background who understands the unique potential that physical activity holds in influencing positive behavioural change and nurturing mental wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal skills, a firm but fair approach to discipline and have the drive to meet each challenge with creativity and enthusiasm. Key Responsibilities: Utilise your sports expertise to engage and motivate young people with challenging behaviour. Work closely with educational and healthcare professionals to develop holistic support plans that incorporate physical activity as a key component. Serve as a positive role model, mentor and coach, understanding the profound impact your guidance can have on a young person's life. Mediate and manage conflict effectively, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for all. Develop relationships with students built on trust and respect, enabling them to overcome barriers to learning and social integration. What You Will Bring: Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with SEND or SEMH. A creative, proactive approach to engagement and an unwavering commitment to making a real difference. Strong communication and organisational skills. A patient and empathetic outlook with the resilience to face challenges head-on. Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to undergo the process. Roles: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Pay: £89 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
