Essential Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status Degree Desirable Qualifications Early Years Specialism SENCO Qualification Essential Experience Clear understanding of leading effective teaching and learning in the EYFS. In-depth knowledge and understanding of child development. Commitment to ensuring inclusion and addressing diversity positively. Experience of working with SEND children and using a range of approaches/strategies to support and meet their needs. Desirable Experience Experience of reporting to Governors. Strong behaviour management skills, having an understanding of a relational approach to behaviour which is inclusive for all. Experience of leading and managing a large team of Teaching Assistants in order to ensure consistency in curriculum implementation. Experience of leading curriculum development in the EYFS.
