We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing and inclusive primary school community.About the Role:As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific pupil, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive in the school environment. You will collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans and strategies.Location: BurnleyContract Type: Full-TimeSalary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hourStart Date: January 2026Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with identified SEN needsAssist with learning activities, both in and outside the classroomSupport emotional regulation and social interactionHelp implement EHCP targets and monitor progressFoster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environmentWe’re Looking For Someone Who:Has experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties)Is patient, empathetic, and resilientCan work effectively as part of a teamHas excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHolds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) – desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer:A supportive and welcoming school communityOpportunities for professional development and trainingA chance to make a real impact in a child’s educational journeyTo Apply:Please attach your CV, outlining any relevant experience you have supporting children with SEN.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
