Animal Nursing Assistant – IVC Evidensia UK Join the team at IVC Evidensia UK’s veterinary hospitals: Taverham Veterinary Hospital, Bure Valley Vets in Aylsham, and Longwater Lane Vets in Costessey. Positions begin in February 2026. Responsibilities Prepare theatre for morning surgery Clean and sterilise surgical instruments Prep animals for surgery and assist nurses with movement into theatre Run blood and urine samples Restrain a range of animals for blood collection and catheter placement Assist the inpatient nurse with recovering patients post‑theatre Reception work: take phone calls, arrange appointments, advise and help clients, process payments, and manage pharmacy duties Support branch surgery work, including assistance with hydrotherapy and cattery duties Qualifications & Requirements A full driving licence Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment as part of a busy team Ability to carry out individual tasks set Capability to communicate effectively with clients Competent maths skills No restrictive allergies to animals A‑C GCSEs in Maths, Science and English (proof required at interview) Shift Pattern Work includes one in three weekends with a variety of weekday shifts on a rotating schedule. Shifts: early (7 am–3:30 pm), late (11:30 am–8 pm), and standard day shifts (8 am–4:30 pm, 8:30 am–5 pm, 9 am–5:30 pm) across a rolling six‑week rota. Participation in a rota for three Bank Holidays per year is required.
