About the Role As a Pharmacy Technician at The Tutbury Practice, you will play a vitalrole in supporting medicines management across the practice. Working alongsideour GPs, clinical pharmacist, nurses, and administrative staff, you willcontribute to improving patient safety, enhancing repeat prescribing processes,and supporting cost-effective prescribing. Disclosureand Barring Service Check Thispost is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made tothe Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for anyprevious criminal convictions. Main duties of the job As a Pharmacy Technician at The Tutbury Practice, you will play a key role in supporting the repeat prescription process, including medication reviews and synchronisation. You will provide informed advice on medicines and prescribing queries to both patients and colleagues, contributing to safe and effective medication use. The role also involves conducting audits and participating in quality improvement initiatives, as well as assisting with the implementation of both local and national prescribing guidelines. Additionally, you will support the clinical team with medication-related tasks, including reconciliation of medicines following patient discharge. About us TheTutbury Practice is a rural GP surgery located in Tutbury, serving patientsfrom nearby areas such as Rolleston, Hatton, and Stretton. Our practice has apatient population of 8,500. Our clinical team includes two GP partners, foursalaried GPs, a clinical pharmacist, a nurse practitioner, and an experiencednursing team, all supported by a friendly and dedicated admin and receptionstaff.
