OverviewAre you a Field Service Engineer who is looking for their next opportunity? Linde Material Handling, one of the world's leading manufacturers of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, invites you to apply. This role is based in the Colchester area.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and rectify faults on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.Perform preventative maintenance and servicing on a range of products from small pallet trucks to Counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks.Engage with the full range of products and use IT systems to keep accurate records and place orders where required.Work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high levels of customer service and support.Occasional on-call support may be required; paid in addition to salary.What does your package include?A competitive salary scale dependent on your experience.Option for either a 40-hour or 45-hour working week – Monday to Friday.Shift premium and overtime opportunities (time and a half Monday to Saturday; some bank holidays).Double time on Sundays and some Bank Holidays.25 days annual leave + statutory bank holidays, with potential additional days based on long service milestones.Company pension scheme - 6% employer contribution; minimum 4% employee contribution.Discount scheme with access to deals from major UK brands.Referral incentives and employee incentive schemes.Six-week induction with world-class training and long-term development plans.World-class Linde product training and local/national technical support.Laptop and phone provided; all specialist tooling supplied; tool replacement policy for wear and tear.Company-provided clean specialist workwear.Paid travel from door to door; company van and fuel card (option for private use).Close-to-home customer base with average travel around 30 minutes.Qualifications and requirementsExperience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Hydraulics.Ideally NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), though not essential.Comfortable using IT equipment; ability to keep accurate records and place orders digitally.Full UK driving license (Field and Resident Engineers).Willingness to work both autonomously and as part of a team.Seniorities and employment typeSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Information TechnologyIndustries: Machinery ManufacturingWe are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers with experience as forklift technicians, plant fitters/technicians, or similar roles.
