We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunities for professional growth.MRO Tool Store OperativeThe MRO Tool Store Operative role is designed to provide direct control and supervision of tools and aircraft equipment required during aircraft maintenance, major repairs and modification work of aircraft transferred to Boeing.Responsibilities:Implement and maintain a register of movement of all hand tools, test and measuring equipment (TME) and Precision Termination Tools (PTT).Implement the calibration requirements of TME and PTT.Ensure controlled issue and return of all tools.Maintain and administer access to the Tool Control System and application (e.g., CribMaster) and undertake the relevant training.Request tool asset numbers from the Tool Custodian for all tools and ensure proper markings.Ensure loan tooling arriving on site is sent to the Operations Tool Store Lead for registration on CribMaster in line with required tool control/calibration requirements.Carry out daily open and close (or handover) checks on the main tool store and perform regular periodic inventory management checks of all tool kits.Purchase replacement or new tools as business needs arise.Carry out tool store actions for the U/S tool reporting process.Ensure all tools, TME and PTT that require calibration are clearly marked with calibration details and the Tool Control System is kept up-to-date.Ensure toolkits contain an up-to-date toolkit folder (log book) as described in current documentation.Quarantine all tools and TME that are damaged or out of calibration; mark those that cannot be securely quarantined as unserviceable and prevent their use while reflecting this in the Tool Control System.Carry out appropriate actions for the replenishment, control and management of FLAP accounts and provisions/stores/consumables.Preferred Skills and Experience:The ability to apply technical knowledge and human factors (HF) knowledge when assessing task requirements.A good communicator with the ability to convey technical work requirements to others.Knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publishing (MRP) Part 145, BDUK Part 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) and application of these requirements within their area of accountability.Ability to work and communicate with management, cross‑functional areas and customers effectively.Experience in sequencing and controlling demanding workloads on time, to budget and to the required standard.Demonstrated alignment with Boeing’s “Our Values”: lead on safety, quality, integrity and sustainability; foster a Just Culture grounded in humility, inclusion and transparency; import and demonstrate best leadership practices; earn stakeholder trust; respect one another and advance a global team; seek, speak & listen.Benefits:Competitive salary and annual incentive plans.Continuous learning and personal development opportunities.Flexible work arrangements to enable meaningful impact.Excellent adoption and parental leave options.23 days plus UK public holidays and a Winter Break between Christmas and New Year.Pension plan with up to 9% employer contribution.Short‑term sickness: 100% pay for the first 26 weeks.Long‑term sickness: 66.67% of annual salary from week 27.Annual salary‑based life insurance.Learning Together Programme for ongoing personal and career development.Access to Boeing’s Well‑Being Programs, tools and incentives.Security Clearance and Eligibility:Applicants must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the UK; Boeing will not sponsor visa or immigration for this role.
