This is a technical role that requires skills to support resilience to our threat monitoring and response capabilities.We’ll trust you to:Handle security incident response with internal teams and other third parties to ensure that incident response lifecycle is undertaken to a high standardMonitor and respond to security incidents, alerts and breachesUse your knowledge and understanding of attack and exploitation techniques, vulnerability scanning and the ability to gather evidence for the security control frameworkMonitor and track remediation to all identified vulnerabilitiesMonitor the risk to WWU assets (people, infrastructure, data etc) using security tooling to carry out routine checksYou can read a full job description here.You’ll need to have:Good knowledge and understanding of SOC processes and proceduresBasic experience using SIEM systems such as MS Sentinel, LogRhythm, AlienVault, SplunkGood understanding of incident response stages and handlingBasic knowledge and experience using leading endpoint detection and threat management products and managing their operationGood knowledge and awareness of global Information Security Standards including ISO27002, CIS, NCSE CAF, NIST CSFPrevious experience being part of or working with incident response teamsDue to the enhanced safety critical nature of this role, you will also be required to carry out a National Security Vetting Security Clearance check - this will be carried out by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV).
