This is a fantastic chance to join a forward-thinking technology team focused on scalability, automation, and cloud infrastructure innovation.We're looking for an experienced DevOps professional who can lead and support the build, deployment, and optimisation of cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines — primarily within an AWS environment. You will play a key role in ensuring infrastructure is robust, secure, and designed for scalability using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with a strong emphasis on Terraform.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services and TerraformDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment and environment managementCollaborate with development, data, and security teams to ensure efficient and secure infrastructure deliveryAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoringEnsure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery strategies are in placeMonitor systems for performance and reliability issues, resolving incidents quickly and efficientlyAdvocate for DevOps best practices and continuous improvement within the teamKey Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a DevOps Engineer, ideally within a mid-to-large scale cloud environmentStrong hands‑on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch)Solid experience writing Infrastructure as Code using TerraformExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similarFamiliarity with containerisation tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes a plus)Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK)Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsLocation & FlexibilityThis is a remote‑first contract role, with a requirement to attend meetings in York 1–2 times per month.Seniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation Technology and EngineeringIndustriesTechnology, Information and Media and Rail Transportation #J-18808-Ljbffr
