LiveWest is looking for a dedicated Estate Safety Officer to join our team and help us ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers, colleagues, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Conduct weekly fire alarm and Automatic Smoke Vent (AOV) testing, monthly emergency light testing, and fire door inspections to ensure all communal areas are safe and compliant. Perform regular visual site inspections to maintain sterile and safe common areas, and raise waste removal forms to address any issues promptly. Carry out weekly Legionella water flushes at required outlets, record findings, and report any necessary remedial actions to maintain water safety. Complete Scheme Risk Assessments, identifying, quantifying, and prioritising all associated works to ensure comprehensive safety measures are in place. Why Join LiveWest? About The Candidate To be successful in your application for the role of Estate Safety Officer, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level one role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience: Knowledge of Health and Safety, Asbestos, and Fire Regulations / Legislation. Experience with fire alarm and emergency lighting systems. Lone working experience. Knowledge of Property Compliance Regulations / Legislation. Ability to analyse information, make informed judgements, appraise performance and manage risk. Ability to professionally convey information for formal reports. Experience in customer service and handling complaints, both internally and externally. IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification. Desirable: ProQual Level 3 in Fire Door Installations, M&E / Construction Apprenticeship, CPD in fire safety management. Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. This is a field-based role, based across the Newquay, Redruth, Truro area, with Tolvaddon as the nearest office.
