Community Nurse (Thurrock) – Band 5 We are a District Nursing role, not Mental Health. This vacancy is open to Registered Adult Nurses or students approaching the end of their training. Responsibilities Provide nursing care in patients’ homes and residential care homes Deliver care to patients over 18 with a predominant physical nursing need Work within a diverse community, developing cultural competence and nursing skills Participate in patient assessments, medication administration, and care planning Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support service users and carers Qualifications Registered Adult Nurse (RN) or final‑year nursing student with imminent completion Band 5 pay level Commitment to community nursing and patient care Training & Induction All new starters will commence on the first Monday of each month. A comprehensive induction of up to two weeks includes mandatory training, systems training and equipment allocation, and opportunities to meet senior management and attend well‑being sessions. Induction takes place at NELFT head office in Rainham, Essex.
