The individual will be responsible for the financial performance of a small team of engineers delivering Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and the detailed design of foul and surface water SuDS. Additionally, the successful candidate should have relevant experience in delivering flood alleviation schemes for both public and private sector clients.The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years UK experience within the sector. Experience in hydraulic modelling is not essential but is a plus; candidates should be willing to develop into a consultancy role. Responsibilities include preparing flood risk assessments and conceptual and detailed designs for drainage strategies.Key points:Degree in civil engineering and progressing towards CEng or CIWEM statusPreparation of Flood Risk Assessments in Flood Zones 1, 2, and 3Design of surface water flood alleviation worksPreparation and detailed design of complex foul and surface water drainage strategies, incorporating SuDS techniquesKnowledge of WinDES, InfoDrainage, TUFLOW, Flood Modeler ProPreparation of water chapters for Environmental StatementsStrong written and spoken communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamThis role offers an excellent opportunity for a consultant seeking a smaller company environment where they can become more autonomous and diversify their skills.
